The Masters Circle is proud to present this virtual two-hour course on Negotiating Contracts Ethically in a Multiple Offer Environment taught by real estate instructor John Gillam. This course will be eligible for two hours of continuing education credit. This class starts with a review of the Ethical issues that often arise in multiple offer situations. Discussions will cover other negotiation standpoints that may be considered, including both buyer and seller perspectives on handling negotiations, competency issues that unknowingly damage SELLERS in multiple offer deals, Third Party transactions (1031, etc.). Then the class will delve into the complexities of Multiple Offer situations as well as working in a variable rate commission scenario. We will look at actual examples that have occurred to explore the ethical implications, broker communications and working within your relationship (TB vs Agent) and learn how to approach these in a very methodical manner to reduce liability and reduce frustration on the part of our clients. About the instructor: John Gillam is a national instructor working with REALTOR® boards through the US, primarily in the western US. He is licensed in multiple states (Supervising Broker / Employing Broker levels) and still has a thriving real estate business with experience in residential, residential income, land / development, farm/ ranch and commercial. His teaching is primarily focused on core competency and ethical practices, with a desire to continually push other real estate professionals to work towards better practices. This class will be held via Zoom on Thursday, May 20 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. A Zoom link will be sent to you the week of the class. This class is free for 2021 Masters Circle members, and costs $20 for non-Masters Circle members. If you are unsure if you are a Masters Circle member, contact Maryjane Mansfield at mmansfield@pmar.org.
