Most volunteers begin their involvement by joining a committee. The following PMAR Committees are seeking additional members (limited space may be available).
You don’t have to be a policy wonk to join. You just have to care about your community and your business. Issues tackled include regional and local growth, proposed regulations affecting your business, taxes and fees, open house signage, and more. Learn more
Increase awareness of homeownership opportunities; support awareness and compliance with fair housing laws while promoting diversity in the real estate industry; provide useful education to members; and continue efforts to reduce the gap in homeownership, including minority homeownership. Plan educational membership luncheons, oversee the administration, and continually strive to meets members’ needs. Learn more
After volunteering on a committee, many members decide to move to the next level: an elected position. Learn more
Conduct arbitration and ethics hearings as needed; encourage members to conduct their business with the highest professional and ethical standards; give initial consideration to allegations of unethical conduct or requests for arbitration; and determine whether a matter is properly the subject for a hearing. Promote a positive image of the real estate profession and value of Realtors® to the public, and promote PMAR’s value proposition to the membership. Learn more
