We know you have a choice of which Association you belong to, and we’re honored you’ve chosen to belong to PMAR. We are the largest community of Realtors® in the Portland Metropolitan area. Together we do big things!
The Professional Standards and Grievance Committees have pledged to educate members on the Realtor® Code of Ethics, to investigate and assess all complaints and to ensure all parties are treated fairly. PMAR has also established Best Practices, which promote ideals of courtesy and professionalism to strive for in the course of business activity. Our Ombudsman program is designed to help buyers, sellers and their Realtors® resolve minor disputes before they escalate.
PMAR assists in resolving home buyer/home seller disputes by overseeing a mediation program. The majority of mediated cases are able to reach a mutually agreeable settlement.
We offer numerous continuing education and networking opportunities for you to improve your professional skills, including:
We help you manage your risk of liability with ongoing education and practice tools on law, agency, anti-trust and fair housing. Principal Brokers and office managers are presented with valuable risk management tools at our semi-annual Owner/Manager Forums. PMAR legal counsel authors timely articles in every issue of PMAR eNews providing practical tips and best practices.
Visit our one-stop public resource website, HOWNW.com™, for a searchable list of current programs that can help your clients become homebuyers, as well as information on avoiding foreclosure rescue scams, credit, and much more.
