What is the Ombudsman Program?
The Ombudsman Program in its simplest definition is informal telephone mediation. In some cases, it can address and solve minor complaints from the public. It can also solve inter-Realtor® conflicts before they become serious problems. Like a mediator, an ombudsman helps parties find solutions.
This free program is available to PMAR members, their clients and customers.
How Can I Request Ombudsman Services?
Please compile the following information:
- Name, contact information, and role of the complainant (that is, buyer, seller, broker, etc.)
- Name, contact information, and role of the respondent
- A description of the conflict
E-mail the information to PMAR Dispute Resolution Services Manager Susan Schneider. An Ombudsman will be assigned to you and will attempt to contact you within two business days. All contact will be initiated by the Ombudsman.
