A new wave of scams is hitting Realtors® directly, with fraudsters posing as lead services and texting agents to trick them into sharing money or information. Alongside this scheme, criminals are also posing as property owners or fake buyers to exploit escrow deposits and wire transfers. This course will explain how these scams work, what red flags to watch for, and how to protect yourself and your clients from becoming the next target.

Instructor Virginia Getz is the Managing Principal Broker at Windermere Happy Valley and is also licensed in Washington with More Realty. A PMAR Circle of Excellence member, she has guided clients through more than 150 home sales and holds the Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES) and Residential Real Estate Divorce Specialist designations. Before real estate, Virginia owned a consulting firm and worked as a finance professional in the Entertainment Industry.
Instructor Amy Farrara is a Sales Executive with Chicago Title Company, bringing experience in mortgages, real estate investing, and business mentoring. She is known for offering creative marketing ideas, AI-powered insights, and practical support to help agents succeed. A Portland State graduate, Amy lives in Clackamas with her five children and enjoys camping, boating, and cooking.
