Ethics Is Good Business
Knowing the Code of Ethics is one thing. Recognizing how it applies in the middle of a real transaction is another.
In Ethics Call Up!, instructor and fellow PMAR member LaTasha Beal will examine the duties Realtors® owe their clients and others—and how those responsibilities intersect with the Realtor® Code of Ethics. We’ll explore questions like:
~ What are your obligations when a client already has an exclusive agreement with another Realtor®?
~ What can you disclose about competing offers—and who decides?
~ Where do your confidentiality obligations begin and end?
~ How can seemingly routine actions lead to an ethics or regulatory complaint?
- Thursday, October 8th, 10-11:30 a.m.
- Virtual course
- 1.5 Oregon CE credits
- Included with PMAR membership; $29 for non-PMAR members
Instructor LaTasha Beal earned her bachelor’s degree in Real Estate Finance from Portland State University (Go Vikings!) and has been a licensed REALTOR® in Oregon since 2009 and Washington since 2018. As a Principal Broker with more than seven years of brokerage leadership experience, she has coached, trained, and mentored agents at every stage of their careers, helping them navigate contracts, compliance, ethics, and transaction disputes. A National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) certified instructor, LaTasha teaches the Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR®), Bias Override, and Pricing Strategy Advisor (PSA) courses. She also serves in industry leadership roles, including with Oregon REALTORS® and the Oregon Real Estate Agency Board, making her a trusted resource on ethics, fair housing, professional standards, and the legal issues impacting today’s real estate professionals.
