All About ADUs for Brokers

This half-day course is intended for brokers who need to increase their knowledge about Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) development, in order to respond increasing client demand for properties with ADU potential. Many prospective home buyers are interested in building an ADU on their property. This course is intended to help brokers understand the basic planning and building regulations for ADU development in the City of Portland in order to better assist their clients.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand what makes a property ADU-ready/eligible
  • Learn what is involved in the process of getting approved to build an ADU
  • Analyze taxation, valuation, and financing options for ADUs

2017 Broker of the Year and Managing Broker of the Year Awards

The PMAR Masters Circle is now accepting award nominations for Broker of the Year and Managing Broker of the Year.

Every year, the MC honors one broker and one managing broker for his or her industry accomplishments. Winners represent the extraordinary achievements, community service, and the industry involvement that is the spirit of the Masters Circle.

Broker of the Year
Nomination/applicant must be a current member of the MC and have attended at least two MC events in 2016. Applications may be submitted by brokers themselves, or by another broker as a nomination.

Managing Broker of the Year
Nomination/applicant must have a minimum of five consecutive years as a Managing Broker. Applications may be submitted by Manager Brokers themselves, or by another Broker as a nomination. The nominee does not have to be a current MC member.

NAR Online Code of Ethics Training

January 1, 2017 – December 31, 2018

Realtors® are required by the National Association of Realtors® to take two and a half hours of ethics training every two years. The current training cycle ends on December 31, 2018. Members may fulfill this ethics training through this NAR online course.
